An offering of $600 million senior perpetual notes has been issued by SMC Global Power Holdings with an initial interest rate of 5.45%. The listing will be held on SGX-ST on June 10th. Proceeds will go towards the Batangas Combined Cycle Power Plant, which will generate 1,313MW. Mer’s 20-year, 1,800MW supply contract was secured by SMC Global after two competitive bids with the partners of Excellent Energy Resources and Masinloc Power Partners.
The FGEN unit has started construction of the Albay binary plant facility. FGEN’s subsidiary BacMan Geothermal had already broken ground in Albay, Albay in June of last year, as they were laying the groundwork for the P7 billion, 29MW Palayan Binary Power plant. New electrical supply will be made available in December 2022, and this will minimize carbon emissions by around 72,200 tons per year. To help offset the need for fresh drilling, the project will utilise waste heat from the 110MW BacMan-1 geothermal facility to create extra electricity.
FLI is gearing up for REIT status by filing registration statements with the SEC for Cyberzone Properties. To distinguish Filinvest REIT Corp from other real estate firms, it will be renamed Filinvest REIT Corp, which would own 16 office buildings on 18.7 hectares in Alabang in Metro Manila, and one office tower and a retail component in Cebu Cyberzone in Cebu City. The area covered by the GLA would be 301,000 square meters.
The GTCAP business has launched a new dealership outlet in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte. A service center with two thousand square meters of showroom, and six bays for general services, will have eight bays for body and paint services.
Today, GLO will be collaborating with Canada’s Telus Corp. and AT&T in the United States on a 5G roaming cooperation. The launch date for Telus is June 15th, while AT&T’s is June 17th. The GLO team also worked with Vodafone Group in Europe, which will provide Hungary, Germany, Ireland, and the Netherlands with 5G access.
