GLOBE Telecom is planning to make their fifth generation (5G) service accessible in more places in the Philippines this year.
We will be carrying out 5G services across our networks this year. We are inviting Globe users to enjoy the 5G experience more and quicker. We would roll out the most sophisticated cases by 5G,” says Globe vice-president for postpaid and international, Coco Domingo.
It said its 5G network already includes regions in Metro Manila and Rizal. There are 183 5G locations in Visayas and Mindanao.
Areas in Cavite, Laguna, and Bulacan are now 5G-enabled.
Overall, 5G is now accessible in 1,045 places in the world.
“With the upcoming 5G expansion, devices, especially those offered on Globe postpaid plans plus the LTE SIM compatibility with the 5G network, make accessing the 5G technology much more seamless.”
Globe’s net profits for the first nine months of this year has decreased 10.15% from the previous year’s amount.
The organization plans to develop more FTTH residential next year to address growing demand.
