NEWly listed fiber internet company Converge ICT Solutions, Inc. reported Wednesday the hiring of its two recent leaders, who are anticipated to raise the business governance, stakeholder relations and risk management levels.
The corporation appointed Owen Kieffer Ocampo as director of investor relations and Anthony Vergel Velasco as internal audit director in the disclosure to the stock exchange.
Mr. Ocampo, who previously worked as Investor Relations Manager for Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC), is expected to “champion the best-in-class investor relations role” within the organization, Converge said.
“He carries more than eight years of experience, beginning his career in 2012 with JPMorgan Chase. In 2013, he entered the KPMG Deal Advisory Community in the Philippines (R. G. Manabat & Co.) as supervisor and soon went on to management positions during his four-year tenure,” he continued.
Mr. Velasco previously worked as Chief Audit Officer of the Megawide Company.
He has served as Head of the IT audit unit at Protection Bank Savings and Chief Audit Officer at 2Go Company, Inc.
Mr. Velasco has over 21 years of expertise in internal auditing, including financial, compliance, information system and organizational risk, said Converge.
The organization added that it requires Mr. Velasco to “ensure the efficacy of the governance and control mechanisms for the performance of the internal audit mandate as specified in the Internal Audit Charter.”
Converge ICT Creator and Chief Executive Officer Dennis Anthony H. Uy said Messrs. Ocampo and Velasco would be spearheading efforts to increase the corporate levels of governance, stakeholder relations and risk management.
