The green energy arm of Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) has collaborated with California-based supplier Enphase Energy, Inc. to sell its micro-inverter-based solar storage systems throughout the world, the US company said on Monday.
MSpectrum, Inc. is expected to sell Enphase’s seventh generation microinverters, including IQ 7, IQ 7+TM, IQ 7ATM and IQ 7XTM, to residential and industrial installers in the Philippines.
According to the press release, the Enphase microinverters are subject to a stringent reliability and consistency monitoring regime and can work under sunny, humid and coastal environments.
“We are proud to be providing Microinverters of the seventh generation of Enphase Energy in the Philippines,” stated Robert Marlon T. Pereja, Chief Operating Officer of MSpectrum.
“This next-generation technology would support solar customers through its high efficiency, durability, reliability and most importantly, protection, thanks to the rapid shutdown system (RSD) designed into the Enphase microinverters,” he added.
For Dave Ranhoff, Chief Commercial Officer of Enphase, the country’s solar industry is promising for residential and small commercial roof market segments.
“We agree that Enphase’s unique value proposition of high-output efficiency and modular implementation, as well as its secure low-voltage all-AC device design and fast shutdown capability, is well resonated in the Philippine solar industry,” he said.
