PH RESORTS Group Holdings, Inc. has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with potential junket operator ASKI Japan Ltd. for the company’s Emerald Bay integrated resort in Mactan, Cebu.
“We are very happy to have ASKI as a future collaborator in the Emerald Bay junket and VIP segment,” PH Resorts Chief Operating Officer Jose Angel Sueiro said in a statement on Thursday.
ASKI Japan, a subsidiary of Global Mix Corp., is a junket and VIP gaming services company for Japanese players in Asia, with clients including Korea’s Paradise Casino Busan and two Friday Club resorts in Entertainment City in the Philippines.
ASKI Japan’s Chief Executive Officer Nobuhiro Imigi signed the agreement on behalf of the company and expressed optimism about the tourism and gaming industries’ post-pandemic recovery.
“Our players are often searching for fresh and exciting gaming locations, and Emerald Bay suits the bill with its convenient position just minutes from the airport and long and stunning beachfront feature,” Mr. Imigi continued.
Emerald Bay, the company’s Mactan plant, is still under development.
It will have 122 mass, luxury mass, and junket gaming tables, 600 computer gaming consoles, and 270 hotel room bays.
